Connect Android Health Connect to My-Sports-Challenge

The separate My-Sports-Challenge Android companion reads the Health Connect records you approve and sends normalized exercise sessions to MSC. The website cannot read Health Connect directly, and MSC is not a Google product.

Setup steps

  1. 1. Prepare Android

Use an Android device with Health Connect available. Android 14 and later include it; older supported versions may need the official Health Connect app from Google Play.

  2. 2. Install the MSC companion

Install and open the My-Sports-Challenge Health Connect companion, then sign in with the same MSC account you use in the browser.

  3. 3. Grant read-only access

Allow access to exercise sessions, distance, and elevation gained. MSC does not write exercise data back to Health Connect and does not read routes, heart rate, sleep, or medical records.

  4. 4. Review and sync

Review the preview of supported records, then tap Sync now. Eligible sessions are sent to challenges whose activity mappings and date rules accept them.

Good to know: A foreground sync is always user-triggered. You may enable the companion's optional automatic checks after a successful sync and background permission, but Android can delay them. A later sync can recreate an MSC activity you deleted; it never deletes the source record.

See Google's official Health Connect help for Android availability and permissions.
