How to connect Garmin
Open Profile → Connections and choose Connect Garmin. Sign in on Garmin's own authorization page and grant activity access, then return to MSC. New activities are matched to the organizer's Garmin mappings and challenge rules.
Until Garmin is connected, you can use a Compatible with Strava connection if the same activity is available there and meets your challenge's import rules.
Only new Garmin activities and their updates are imported after connection, including activities entered manually in Garmin Connect. No historical import. GPS maps are available when Garmin supplies coordinates and GPS sharing allows it; Garmin maps do not enable race or route scoring or automatic group recognition. Garmin controls the date and metrics; you can edit the challenge activity type and group settings.
Maps use new Garmin Activity Details (24 h) deliveries, not activity files or historical downloads. GPS consent and existing activity-owner and challenge access rules apply. Temporary normalized GPS streams are kept for no more than seven days; generated maps follow existing retention and privacy cleanup rules. Missing coordinates, indoor or manual activities, and map-processing failures do not block summary imports or change Garmin's metrics.
MSC imports activity time, type, distance, duration, and elevation gain when supplied by Garmin, and compares records across providers to avoid duplicates. Multisport child activities are imported, not their parent summary. Disconnecting Garmin from MSC everywhere stops future imports but preserves historical activities and their MSC records. It does not delete activities in Garmin Connect.
